The art of American illustration

Here is the catalog of the 1976 exhibition at the Brandywine River Museum. Darley was included in the exhibit. The exhibit was a survey of American book and periodical illustration from the 1850s-1976, including works by 90 illustrator/artists. Special emphasis on Howard Pyle and the Brandywine tradition of illustrators. Artists represented included F.O.C. Darley.

Ray/Nancy This gem came from the University of Michigan Making of America series. I have been working my way through 230 references to Darley and am finding a treasure trove.
