Preparation:
After you have removed mould lines, stubs etc. use a black undercoat on everything.
Basic Stages:
Start off with the weapons, armour etc., because this needs drybrushing which can be disastrous if done later. Apply a coat of chainmail or boltgun metal, depending on how dark you want your armour. Then(If you want your army to be nice and dirty), lightly drybrush bestial brown and/or tin bitz over your metal.
Then do the fur. Start off drybrushing scorched brown over all the fur areas. Repeat this if the coat is still very black. Then you have a large choice of the colour of your fur. This is useful, as it enables you to add unity to your entire army, or add individuality to seperate regiments. The choice of furs are: Bestial brown, snakebite leather, Dark Flesh(This gives quite a reddish fur), Scorched brown, and probably a few others. If using Dark Flesh or scorched brown, you may want to add white to form a badly needed highlight.
The most boring part of the base coats is the skin. Start off by painting all the skin areas with bronzed flesh. At this stage, try not to pain into the cracks in the skin, although its not too important. Then add a wash of flesh wash/brown wash/chestnut wash. After this, choose your final colour. I recommend dwarf flesh, but you can use Elf flesh or bronzed flesh.
Bits and Bobs
These include clothes, pouches, weapon handles etc. These can be painted just about any colour, but these can also be used to unify/alienate armies.
Faces
These ought to have special attention. For teeth, you can either use bleached bone or skull white. For the eyes, I think there are 2 main colours: Red and Green. Start vof with a base coat of a dark version, Crimson Gore, or Red+black, Snot green. Then add white to your base colour and just add a small dot in each eye.
Bases
Here you have a huge choice. For all of these, I reccomend you do the side of the bases Brown(Except for Green): Sand-Black, Drybrush brown; Sand +Static Grass, Unpainted; Normal Green/Flock; Sand+Static Grass painted Brown;
