Dan Majerle has played 13 seasons in the NBA and is mostly known for his long range three-point shooting, but following his career, Thunder has been anything but one-dimensional. In his early days with the Phoenix Suns, Majerle was a slasher with very good leaping ability. It wasn't until his latter days with Phoenix that he developed the3-point bomb. After being traded to the Eastern Conference, Majerle began to show his defensive prowess. Defending the opponents number one perimeter players, Majerle has made a name for himself on each side of the ball, and continues to play hard in search of his first championship ring.
Majerle is arguably Miami's second most valuable player. How many times have we seen Thunder make huge three pointers down the stretch of games??? His game is actually untapped, he can really do more than he allows us to see. His unselfishness is classic, he does only what his coach asks, and that is what makes him so special as a person and as a basketball player.
This is an eery time in the land of Miami Heat Basketball. Will Zo ever return to his once elite level of play??? Will Riles find a young point guard to lead the HEAT back to championship contention??? Has Dan Majerle played his last game in A Miami Heat uniform???
Let us take time out and pay our respects for an NBA vet who has paid his dues without experiencing the joys if winning an NBA championship. Let us give an Ode to Thunder, for showing us how the game is supposed to be played. Thank you Thunder, and we're behind you all the way.
