Bubenheim

Alzey County, Rhineland Pfalz, Germany

The village of Bubenheim lies on the ancient road conencting the Eis and Pfrimm Valleys. The church of St. Peter dates from ca. 1100, but the site dates back to the Frankish settlement era. In pre-christian times it was already a Well Sanctuary, for under the High Altar, there is a spring.
