Jonathan Larson went to college at Aldelphi University in Long Island, New York.

He was very into theatre and music. In many peoples eyes Rent was his biggest accomplishment. His play has touched the hearts of almost everyone who sees it.

Rent started off at the New York Theater Workshop (NTYW) where it was a work in progress, but still very inspirational.
