The Roadway Encounter Table:
1-5% A Troll in a BAD mood.
6-20% A scared and/or injured predatorial animal. It will attack if approached.
21-40% A Merchant being attacked by 1d8 bandits. The Merchant will be grateful if saved.
41-50% An adult Bear that has tasted humanoid blood and is hunting the group.
51-60% A large tree blocking the path. Bandits (2D4) Are waiting to attack. They will flee if at least three are injured or 2 die.
61-69% A Hatchling Dragon looking for the theif who stole it's "Magic Amulet" (a simple amulet of invisibility 2/30min). It will be suspicious of the group and will attack at any sign of hostility. She will blame the group if they are difficult or rude. If the group helps the Hatchling Ice Dragon they will find the theif gloating in the tavern of the next town. He will be easy to catch being that he is drunk.
Returning the amulet will bring the group a free meal and the Dragon's company(The dragon pays for it). The dragon is 12 years old and 5th level. Her name is Sheeria and has a Unprincepled alignment. She most
likely will grow tired of the group within a week. It is the GM's choice whether or not she stays or leaves the group.
70-80% A Human female with a PB of 18 is on the side of the road crying and cold. She is actually a 5th level theif. She has Pick Pockets & Concealment at 50%
81-98% Three dead soldiers on the road. They have only basic equipment and no money.
99-100% A 10th level Necromancer Wolfen with a desire to use the group as test subjects. He has 1D20 Animated skeleton warriors.
