The Camping Encounter Table:

1-10% A bear that smells food. If startled it will defend itself and might attack. Will run if hit upon the nose doing at least 3 points of damage.

11-15% 3D6 Playful faeries looking to have some fun that where attracted by the firelight. They will not steal or cause too much trouble unless an attempt is made to drive them away. If the group angrily trys to get them to leave they will come back with a VERY mean Leprchaun that WILL cause some trouble and the faeries will attempt to steal anything they can get their hands on.

16-30% A few travelers are attracted by the Firelight and wish to stay the night and share a meal. They will be very friendly and will share any information they might posess about the area. They are a small group heading to a nearby town to sell some goods at the local market. However, the youngest boy will try to steal at least 10 gold from the least threatening/frightening member of the group. He will not take more than 30 gold peices. He wants it to buy a sword in the town so he can become a warrior. If cought he will promise to give it back when he becomes a great warrior. If the group forces him to give it back they will loose all respect from the child and his mother. A guilt trip will be next!

31-40% 2 Ogres of 3rd level looking for human female mates. They are decently armed and will fight to the death to ensure they get away with their prize. If there are no women in the group then the stupid ogre will mistake on of the members as a female and take him away!

41-67% THEIVES!!! 2D4 of them. All have prowl 45%. 50% chance they will just steal. Otherwise they will try to slash everyones throat and take everything. All low level and can be almost any race.

68-75% A group of AWOL soldiers looking to make a bit of money by killing the group and taking everything. All 1st level soldiers with standard equipment but their armor is at 1/2 SDC. 2D6 Soldiers. Wolfen if in Northern kingdom, Humans if Western or Eastern, Orc's if Southern.

76-85% Cries for help are heard from the Trail where a Noblewoman (17years old and PB of 19) and here two guards are being attacked by 1 archer hidden in a tree and two Mercenaries on Horse back. By the time the group interveigns the gaurds are dead and one of the Merc's has lost 12 points to his Plate&Chain armor. If the Girl is saived she instantly take a liking to the 1st female in the group that she sees, and wish to join and learn the OCC of that woman. Otherwise she will be disintrested and ask the group all to condesendingly to return her to the palace where a heafty reward awaits the group (only 500 gold per person). It is likely the group will be ambushed once more on the trail and once in town before she reaches the palace.

86-98% A wealthy Noble all alone in the dark asks for a place to stay for the night where he can feel safe. He will pay the group 20 gold per night to allow him to travel with them to the next town. If necessary he will pay up to 100 gold per night. He has a dagger and a longsword that are purely for show and has padded half armor and 4,000 gold on him. He will explain that he thinks he was ambushed and he has been running for hours. He is sure someone is after him and he says they already took his horse. In actuality he kicked the horse too hard with his pointed boots and it knocked him off and ran away. There isn't anyone following him and his horse is forever lost.

99-100% A very poisinous snake has found its way either in someones blanket or tent to keep warm. When the person wakes up or is awakend the snake will strike. There is a 12% chance of someone noticing it before it strikes.
