Name: "Martin Girard"Totaly true. Everything about that scene is pure genius, from the use of slowmotion to the use of colors, music, editing, camera movement... Everything! To me, it's the greatest scene ever filmed by De Palma. Or anyone else for that matter.

Name: "Harry Georgatos"The prom sequence should be taught in film schools when it comes to the art of editing as De Palma builds-up the suspense as Carrie explodes in her psychic apocalyptic retributuion. I also think De Palma's editing of the psychic thriller THE FURY is problay the best editing that I've seen as De Palma is building the sense of psychic connection between the two teens in the film. I'm still hoping one day De Palma gets to direct the psychic novel THE DEMOLISHED MAN or the graphic novel ESPERS!

Name: "Jeremy O Connell"Great to see Ellis commending De Palma's artistry!

Name: "John Presnall"This assessement of De Palma is not entirely surprising given Ellis' character Patrick Bateman, and his obsession with Body Double in American Psycho. Of course, a serial killer is not the best case for a positive movie blurb. So it is better to hear a positive review (in this case Carrie) out of Ellis' own mouth.

Name: "Geoff"Yes, John, the thing I always wondered, though, was how Ellis felt about BODY DOUBLE by making it a sort of running joke in AMERICAN PSYCHO that the killer keeps renting it, etc. But now, in the past couple of weeks, Ellis has given high praise to both PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE and CARRIE, and I think it suggests that he likely regards well of BODY DOUBLE, as well.
