Yes, thanks for the passionate coverage!
In one of the new interviews, Brian De Palma says that there is no philosophy in this film beyond a genre exercise. I will comment after seeing the film, but there are questions. Does that apply to all of his films? Were they philosophical before and how? Did he suddenly decide to drop philosophy and why? What does he think of deep interpretations from fans and critics? Thanks :)

Well, Rado, I think De Palma has always kind of been straightforward about what he is putting on the screen. I recall reading an interview from the 70s or 80s where he said he had told Robin Wood that he never intended much of the things Wood was seeing in his films. That said, De Palma has admitted to adding subtextual elements to his films, and does seem to allow that, since his films come from his subconcsious, there are probably things being said there that he is not necessarily aware of.

Think of all the subtext in Femme Fatale for example!
Btw thanks Geoff for the coverage, amazing to see another De Palma film finally out there (particularly another suspense thriller) and cant wait to see it
