Name: "harry georgatos"LONE SURVIVOR similar to BLACK HAWK DOWN deals with mechanics of a mission gone horribly wrong. These films do not deal with contentious politics in why these soldiers find themselves in those countries. LONE SURVIVOR is a technically impressive movie dealing with the mechanics of survivor. The war films on terror coming out of Hollywood wave the American flag. The only anti-war films that I can recall is De Palma's REDACTED, which was funded out of Hollywood, and Paul Greengrass GREEN ZONE with Matt Damon. There was also a film by Michael Winterbottom with the powerful THE ROAD TO GUANTANOMO. Most films on terror with THE HURT LOCKER and ZERO DARK THIRTY, which are technically and themetically accomplished films in their own right, regardless of what one might think of their politics are pro-American films. The other anti-war film I can recall out of the sausage factory that is Hollywood is the exceptional genre remake of Jonathan Demme with the deliriously paranoid THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE which was a film at one stage that De Palma was going to direct!
