THE FURY has the best explosive head scene in movie history with a bonko score by John Williams reaching delerious heights as John Cassavetes is telepathically blown to pieces by telepath Amy Irving. It's the final scene as De Palma has the next generation in Amy Irving saying screw you to John Cassavetes generation responsible for the Vietnam war and screw you to the Military Industrial Complex.
The only two other films within this genre that are stand-out top-notch films is SCANNERS and Spielbergs MINORITY REPORT that is a homage to De Palma's visual planning techniques.
