Brian De Palma, José Luis Alcaine, and crew visited the ATV studio Thursday, according to Gazet Van Antwerpen, which posted a video, from which the captured images here come from. The article mentions that De Palma himself preferred to be off camera.

The camera in these photos looks like the film is being photographed on digital. Never been a fan of digital cameras. Digital has a bland cold feel without the warmth and perspective that film brings to a movie.

Nothing is certain. So long, we've only seen the digital camera twice on Instagram: once for the film festival (?) scene, and a second time for the news reporting scene. In these two contexts, a digital camera makes sense (since TV and live reporting have to be shot on digital). It could very well be for a "digital camera" point of view (de Palma did that many times before, like in the opening scene of Snake Eyes). Also, his last movie Passion, which featured the same cinematographer, was shot on film (35mm). Anyway, there's no way of knowing until the IMDB page mentions it.

I'm not opposed to digital myself: it makes the night scenes much easier to shoot, it's lighter and less fragile than a film camera. Considering the suffocating heat in Europe at the moment, they better shoot on digital. I've been scrutinizing the Instagram pictures and the cast and crew say they often shoot until sunrise, so congratulations to 76 years old de Palma for staying up so late during Europe's huge heat wave.

On the side note: on June 12th the gaffer wrote on his Insta account #37 days, so I'm guessing the movie has a few weeks left of shooting?

She says they are still filming around 4am and that it is cold. Also, one of her hashtags is filmisnotdead. Someone asked the question "is it film or digital" in the comments, no answer, though, at this time.

Thank you Geoff, when I read your message, she had already answered! Digital it is.

Also, it appears that Hendricks left the movie to "sub" for Anne Hathaway who was supposed to star in The Burning Woman. So it seems that there were no artistic differences or anything of the sort, which is good news: she just got a more interesting (lead)role in America. Carice Van Houten is to me a far better actress and also a "local" (she's Dutch, right?) who won't stand out like Christina-American-blow-up-doll Hendricks. So I'm glad they each got what they wanted.

Now the only few questions remaining:

1. Who will play the role of the traitor under cover (it's gotta be an actor more famous than Ebouaney)

2. Who will score the movie (Donaggio?)

3. What will be the aspect ratio (I'm hopping it won't be 1.85:1 like in Passion, because it looks too TV-y)?

4. Who will edit the movie?
