The Power of Stones : Kunzite

Kunzite (Lithium Aluminum Silicate) is a pale, pink or lilac stone representing the mineral spodumene. It was discovered in the early twentieth century and named for the prominent gemologist George Frederick Kunz (d 1932). Some specimens fluoresce a pale orange under ultraviolet light. The fine color of kunzite is known to fade with exposure to light. When it is yellowish or clear, this mineral is called triphane. As a green stone, it is called hiddenite.

Kunzite is thought to be excellent for removing tension, emotional and physical, and obstacles. Placed over the heart chakra, it releases emotional blockages. It aligns the heart chakra with the throat and third eye chakras and aligns all seven of the major chakras within a twenty-four hour period.

Passed over tense muscles, Kunzite helps your body relax. It also affects the eyes, kidneys, and lumbar regions. Kunzite enhances self-esteem, tolerance, and acceptance. Addictive personalities would benefit from the use of kunzite. It can be worn, carried, or soaked in water to make an elixir.
