Marble, Calcium Carbonite, is a form of recrystalized calcite, sometimes combined with other minerals such as graphite, ilmenite, quartz, mica, plagioclase, tremolite, and talc. It ranges in color from white to yellow, pink, red, green, brown, gray, and black. Though it is common throughout the world, some regions are known for certain qualities of marble, such as the white statuary marble of Carrara, Italy.
While it is a common household stone, found in decoration, accessories, furniture, and foundation, it can be used as a magical tool as well. Marble tables and fixtures are considered protective of the home. It may be viewed as a sacred building stone, and has been favored for millennia in temples, mausoleums, and other holy structures. It promotes meditation and serenity and total recall of dreams.
Usage of marble extends to the treatment of bone disorders, viral and bacterial infections, sore throat, and lower back pain. It is also said to increase flexibility, both mental and physical.
