A Who's Who of World Mythology : Adsullata (Sulla)

Adsullata is a river goddess of the Continental Celts. As Sul or Sulla, an early goddess of hot springs, she was equated with Brigit as a goddess of fire. As the Romano-Celtic Sulis, closely linked to Minerva, she was a goddess of knowledge and prophecy and worshiped at Bath (Aquae Sulis). Her temple at Bath was founded by Bladud who suffered from a leprous skin disease. Observing the pigs rolling the mud to heal their own skin lesions, he followed their example and was miraculously cured. He founded her temple over the spot.
