Agassou is a Panther fetish god of the former royal house of Benin of the Dahomey tribes. He is often invoked as Agassou-Dos-Miroir, or Agassou of the back of the mirror. He is also referred to as Agassou-Allah-Da, Attiassou Yangodor and Mam'bo Ati-A-Sou. The fetish religion of the Dahomeys is seen as a precursor to Haitian voodoo.
