Anotchi is a culture hero of the Ashanti. He was a magician as well as a healer, and he was responsible for bringing down the golden stool of Nyame (Odomankoma, Onyame, Onyankopon, or Totrobonsu), the supreme god of the Ashanti and Akan of southern Ghana.
