A Who's Who of World Mythology : Asynjor

In Nordic mythology, Asynjor (fem. of Aesir) is applied to the Norse goddesses, and Frigg, wife of Odin, is their leader. Also among the Asynjor are the Valkyries and the Norns.

The word Asynjor (Asynjur) is also applied to the attendants of either Freya or Frigg (Frigga) at Vingolf, the Hall of the Goddesses. One of them, a healer, was called Eir. Others were named Fjorgyn, Frimia, Fimila, Hnossa the beautiful.
