In Bible Prophecy, there's no other controversial topic quite like "The RAPTURE." Because no other topic creates more animosity among those who claim to be believer's than "The Rapture of the Church". I want to bring forth this Bible study without any kind of denominational twist, nor to add fuel to anyone's fire, but to draw a conclusion only from what the Bible declares and teaches without respect of persons, denominational influences, opinions or ideas, only "What saith the Scriptures?" "The Rapture of the Church" Whether or not you believe it will happen or agree on when it happens IS NOT a subject that should be put on the shelf because you might be afraid of offending someone's particular view. Clearly we are not to be UNWISE, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. -Eph 5:17 Studying to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.-2 Tim 2:15 And the blessings on he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.-Rev 1:3 In digging through the Bible, investigating, there is too much to be said of the 1st Resurrection to just leave it under the carpet; for the time is at hand! Of the "Raptures" in the 1st Resurrection, "the Resurrection/Rapture of the Church" seems to be the most hated! To deny the Rapture of the Church is in essence to deny the Resurrection! Not to be taken lightly, Paul talked about Hymenaeus and Philetus, how their teaching was like canker, who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.-2 Tim 2:17-18 If we can overthrow the faith of some by saying it is past already, what will happen to the faith of some IF you say it will not happen at all or it will happen mid-trib or post-trib??? When talking to people, a common statement that comes from those who haven't really studied out the subject concerning "The Rapture of the Church" for themselves, but rely upon what this or that person or book says, is based upon, that the word "Rapture" is not found in the Bible" Though that is true, the MEANING of the word "Rapture" IS FOUND layed out through the Bible!!! The Greek translation of the text is "harpazo" The Latin translation of the text is "Rapture" The English translation of the text is "Caught UP" "To carry off; grasp hastily; snatch up; to seize and overpower; to plunder; the act of transporting" Which ever one you prefer to use doesn't matter! If you want to, let's call it "The Great Catching Away of the Church! The believer's blessed hope"!!!!! In all actuality, There are 5 different "RAPTURE's" in The 1st Resurrection: JESUS, The OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS, The CHURCH, The 2 WITNESSES & The 144,000 and there's NO problem when it comes to JESUS, O.T. Saints, 2 Witnesses or 144,000 being caught up/raptured/seized/taken up, but the Rapture of the Church? "No, the Church must suffer"??? Nevertheless the foundation of God stand's sure declaring: #1 IT WILL HAPPEN!!! #2 IT WILL HAPPEN AS GOD HAS PLANNED IT!!! The complier of this Bible study is non-denominational and holds no particular lean to what others denominations teach. If the results of this Bible study conclude to what a particular denomination or denominations teach, it's conclusion came from NO influence on their behalf but came through reading the "whole" Bible and coming to that conclusion and understanding of God's character, nature and His ways!
