If you had $100,000 to put in the offering tray this Sunday, it wouldn’t please God more than the offering of yourself in the "Worship" service!

"O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." Psalm 51:15-17

The offering of yourself and the pouring out of your heart is more pleasing to God than the fat of rams, the finest gold, or the choices of spices! What shall we render to God for all of His benefits?

Psalm 116:12

"Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." Psalm 103:3-5

"Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me." Psalm 50:14-15

Many times we feel that only IF we had $100,000 to give, then God will be wellpleased. Thank God what He commands and delights for us to offer is something that everyone is capable of giving! Riches don’t give you an edge and poverty can’t withhold it!!! The words are nigh us, even within our mouths!

"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." Hebrews 13:15

Four times in Psalm 107 we are exhorted with the admonition of:

"Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!"

Psalm 107:8,15,21,31

What will you do the next time we gather together to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness??? Do you think God will be pleased with your money? Your apparel? Your showing up 1 time during the week? Will you carry the title known as "a man after God’s own heart"? "He pleased the Lord", "A friend of God"?

"Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation."

Psalm 40:6-10
