My husband Chris and I have an almost 3 year old son, Justin, with Spina Bifida. We joined the SBAD shortly after Justin's birth, in September of 1998. Since that time we have gone to monthly support groups and general meetings and have learned so much. I organized the SBAD's first annual 5K Run/Walk and Roll on October 3, 1999, on the grounds of the Nemours Estate. Our next 5K will be held this October 7th, 2001 on the ground of the duPont hospital once again. I really want to help inform people about Spina Bifida and at the same time want to make sure our kids, relatives and friends have access to new information to make their lives easier. To put it simply...I can make a difference!
