Well, that fifty bits of info got a little old... and some were just plain silly, so let's just summarize in a few paragraphs who I am, where I'm headed, and what I think about the world in general... for anyone who happens to care. The rest of you, in the immortal words of a Mel Brooks character from Men in Tights, can "bugger off". :) Just kidding... :P
For the past couple years, I've been employed as a filing clerk/medical secretary at a local doctor's office. For for the most part, I enjoy paper-pushing and being a little gopher (no, seriously, I do) and, I like my co-workers.
This all may change, though, in the next year or so... relocation is a possibility, and may become a necessity. School is among my many ambitions... more specifically, a B.A. in... I don't know just what yet, but it probably will not be technical. I'd love to go into art or English, but I have no idea what I'd do with a degree in either of those. Since I don't know yet where I (rather, we) will be locating to. There's a little while yet to think about all that, so... time will tell. :)
What I'd really like to do is settle down, get married, have the medium-sized house, the two kids, the eight cats (hehe), the little porch with the rocking chairs, a big bookcase full of nice books to read, and plenty of time to relax. Oh, and the nice part-time job to support my habit... shopping, especially for jewelry :) Doesn't sound like I'm asking for much, does it? ...good. :)
Let's see... stuff I've been into lately... wellllll... I spend all my free time with my other half, Dan... we do everything together :) ...I really enjoy reading Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. Amazing writer, amazing story line, and the next one is here... Winter's Heart! Woo hoo! I've also taken all that fantasy-type stuff and put my creative energies into building for a MUD. Can't tell which one yet, but that'll be coming when it's open for the public. If it ever does... hehe :) If and when it does, though, you can be sure I'll post something here to link to it and give plenty of info and brag about it endlessly :) Also, I've been playing pool, rollerblading, and watching things like The Learning Channel, History Channel, and all those other nerd-channels where you actually learn useful facts and general monkeyness.

Wow, it's hard to believe it's been almost a year since the whole Y2K thing mess... a lot has changed since then. Quite a bit has changed in my life as well... most significantly, my engagement to Dan (woohoo!) and my last day at Dover Family... which happens to have been today. The wedding won't be 'til next year, but I'm definitely having fun planning everything, and picking out a dress. :) As far as what I'm going to do now that I don't work at DFP... well, I'm not sure. I would *love* to go back to school, but I still owe tons on my car and can't afford to go :( So I'll be looking for a job soon, starting... well, probably tomorrow :) Anyway, the holidays are coming up, and I'm sure you all have better things to do than to read about my little life. (I wonder how many people actually look at this page? Ah, well... it don't matter... hehe)

The job hunt was fairly successful... after a month, I found a new job at an orthopedic office. After just two days, I'm not sure how it's gonna go... but ah, well.. I have a party to look forward to this weekend (going formal! yay!) and other monkeyness of the high-speed variety... hehe :) Beyond that... well... been reading tons of books, such as the Harry Potter series, the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy"... L.E. Modesitt Jr.'s "Order" stuff... Catcher in the Rye... and quite a few others. Otherwise... still looking forward to September, and still looking forward to going to UD next spring.
Take care!More later as I think of other things to say. :)
