I decorated your room with red white and blue
colors.
Your curtains with tiny Revolutionary soldiers.

My sweet Child you always were the sensitive one, no bully no fighter.
But as you grew older I saw you as a leader,
But you saw yourself as a
'Defender of Peace'.
You decided at an early age to prepare yourself as the warrior.
You chose the Navy as your career
and took an oath to serve and protect.
As I pinned on your Wings it was hard to hold back the tears.
You have made us so proud
Not only those around you,
but those who have passed on who watch over
you
You have traveled the world, and through your eyes
I have seen the people
and places that are our friends and enemies.
I never thought the time would come, that I would hear you say,
"Mom IT IS WAR!,
I am ready to go and protect my country at all costs"
Perhaps I always knew from the womb,
That you were destined to wear your
wings.
