CHOCOLATE PEANUTBUTTER BARS

Ingredients

1/2 cup margarine 125mL
1/2 cup brown sugar 125mL
1/2 cup corn syrup 125mL

1 teaspoon vanilla 5mL
3 cups Old Mill oats 750mL
1/2 cup sweet chocolate chips 125mL
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter 50mL

Cream margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until smooth. Stir in oats, mixing thoroughly. Press firmly in a 8 inch square greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or until light golden, and center is barely firm. cool 5 minutes.

SPRINKLE chocloate chips evenly on top. Drop small spoonfuls of peanut butter over chips. Let stand 5 minutes to soften. Swirl chocolate and peanut butter together to marble.

Cool completely, then chill 15 minutes to set topping before cutting.
