The Schvitz Bathhouse on 8295 Oakland at Melbourne. This is one of the few viable businesses on Oakland, with the exception of various churches and liquor stores. Originally the "Oakland Bath House". It is one of the oldest steam clubs still open in the U.S. and was a hang out for the Purple gang. If you were to call there they would be glad to give you some history... There was just an article about it in the Jewish news about a month or two ago. (Thanx to JYogi for most of this info!) Click the pic for some great Schvitz history.
