Advanced Chakra Meditation
Cleansing the Chakras
Once you have been in practice and learned to balance each chakra, you will become more confident and you will find that you can do it more quickly and efficiently as well. This is when you may use this exercise. It is brief but effective.
If you are sure you are ready for this section, then let's begin. After successfully completeing this exercise, you will be on your own. You have learned all I can teach you in the art of meditation.
Choose the Chakra center that
you wish to work on and visualize
its corresponding color. (see tables)
Starting from the bottom of your feet, imagine the
color you have chosen surrounding you completely.
Then take a deep breath and let it fill your body up. As it does,
feel it expanding and glowing and feel the color cleansing away all the debris and illness.
Feel it's warmth increasing as it works to renew your body.
Visualize the illness or problem that you are working on. Envision the light engulfing it, and then expanding and growing, growing so much that it eventually begins to
break apart. Watch it grow until it eventually explodes into a million tiny pieces and little by little begins fading into nothingness.
See it all dissolve until the color is rich
and its warmth is all around you. Holes, rips, and tears
are all mended. Do this with each
chakra center letting the debris dissolve
and fade away.
******************************************
Now, begin at the top of your head.
Open yourself up to the pervading energy
completely. Allow it to invade your body
and surround you. Once again, feel the energy
cleansing away all the debris and illness.
Feel it's warmth increasing as it works to renew your body.
Visualize the illness or problem that you are working on growing once again,
breaking apart, exploding and then fading into nothingness. See its color warm and
rich and again, all holes, rips, tears, and wounds
mended. Remain still and
centered. Now envision your whole body from
head to feet engulfed and swirling in all its new colors,
all of them relaxing and cleansing.
You may stop here if you wish or you can continue until you complete this meditation. It will help to increase your powers of visualization and make it much easier for you to find a peaceful place anytime you need to.
Continuing? Okay, now you begin to relax even more and you can feel yourself begin to slowly move downward,
and as you move downward, what you percieve slowly begins to
change. You feel yourself moving downward through the atmosphere and leaving it
behind you. Keep your eyes closed, but "see" this with your mind's eye, and as you watch what is going on, you will see a variety of scenes play themselves out around you, bringing you into them, and relaxing you.
Now visualize yourself standing in a wide open field. The grass around you is a mixture
of brown and green, and you can hear the quiet chirping of insects. You see a bee buzzing around some beautifully colored flowers. The flowers in the field are just beginning to open up to the beautiful spring sunshine, and you bask in
this beauty, until you begin to sink down through the green carpet of grass beneath you, relaxing as you go lower and lower, becoming more and more relaxed.
It is now a lovely summer day. Before you is a golden beach touching a deep blue sea. You hear the waves roaring and splashing in to the shoreline, and then you look out over the ocean. The sky above you is blue and cloudless. The sun shines down upon you, now beginning to warm you. In the distance, you hear seagulls crying, and see them swooping down out over the water. You now begin to sink deeper, until you
sink right down through the sand, and relax even more so, with the sand warming you and
relaxing you as you move through it.
Suddenly, you are looking out over a forest in the middle of autumn, the leaves beautiful in their red and gold splendor. The wind dances lightly through the trees and sifts through your hair. You now smell the smoke of a small fire
and see children at the very edge of the forest, laughing as they burn the dying leaves of autumn. You slowly walk over and lie down in a small pile of newly fallen leaves, and the warmth of the fire relaxes
you as you sink even deeper. You become more and more relaxed, and sink into
the leaves, leaving the warmth of the fire behind.
Next you slip inside and are now sitting by a fireplace, nice and cozy, looking out a window, seeing a yard
covered in glistening white snow. No footprints mar the
crystal-like beauty where you are looking. You smell the smells of winter from the evergreen and holly that decorate the room around you, and you
relax even more now, deeper and deeper in the warmth of the fire, and slowly, very slowly
you sink deeper and deeper through the floor.
More and more relaxed, deeper and deeper, you feel yourself going down deep
inside yourself, folding within, finding the center and heart deep within
yourself, and you slowly come to rest in that sacred space inside yourself.
This is the place where you are safe and warm, and can always go to find whatever you are looking for.
Take a moment and look around, seeing all the things that are here, and
revealing that this is a place just for you. It is your
sacred place, and will always be within you. You will always be able to find it, whenever you need it.
Now, find a path out of this place, and follow it to it's end. Along this
path you might find side paths, and you can take them if you want. You might meet people or animals or even otherwordly beings, and it's even possible that they could speak to you. Talk with them if you wish and stay as long as you want, or have them walk beside you as you continue down the
path.
After a while, as you walk, you see a small clearing open up in front of
you.
It is now time to return, to say goodbye to your friends on this plane, and to
return to your friends in the other world. Let yourself rise slowly, and see the area below you fading
until you find yourself once more in front of the fire looking out over the
beauty of winter. Take a moment and capture a bit of that beauty within
yourself, and remember it as you slowly, slowly continue rising, and the
scene fades away.
Very slowly, the scene fades and is replaced with the autumn trees.
Yet as you rise, the autumn fades away and is replaced with the georgeous
summer beach and ocean, with the golden sand and the crystal blue waters and the deep
cloudless sky. Continue onward, rising up slowly, very slowly.
Now you are in the field once more, with the bees buzzing over the flowers. You are heading home.
Hear yourself breathing, and feel the connection you have to the earth and to all its seasons.
Allow your breathing to slowly come back to normal, and the awareness of sounds soon begins to be felt again. Now open your eyes
and become fully, completely awake, but still relaxed, and know that you have been cleansed and renewed, and can journey back to your "sacred place" anytime you wish it.
During the first part of this exercise, if you feel a misalignment, concentrate on
that center again and then repeat the steps
focusing on that particular center. Now you may experiment with your own visualizations and meditation techniques as you feel you are ready. And although this seems extemely long, it can actually be done rather quickly as long as you stay in practice and keep up with your meditations. Good luck and many blessings to you! |
