Welcome to my sanctuary. All opinions are welcomed as long as you agree with me.

These are just quick descriptions of the Chakras. You will find them studied in more depth here.

The Crown Chakra - Seventh Chakra

Located at the top of the head. This is where all knowledge from the Universe is drawn, "The All-Knowing" source. It's color is White. This is where the manifestation of the information from the "third eye" gathers. The blocking of this chakra renders you incapable of drawing upon the sources of knowledge and your own divinity. It is in this state that perception is altered. This is where the interconnecting relationships that existbetween all things is acquired. There is a sense of unity and wholeness if all is well.

The Brow Chakra - Sixth Chakra

Forehead. The "Third Eye" allows you to see future events, auras, faeries, secret friends and allows you to penetrate higher realms and consciousness. This is your source for inner visions and imagination. Its color is Violet. Children have this open and as adults we tend to "close off" or block this center.

The Throat Chakra - Fifth Chakra

At the center of the throat. Chakra of communication, mental, written and oral skills. Its color is Blue. It is the chakra of the face you show the world. If you feel a tightness in your throat, it is a good indication that this area is blocked. As with a radio, tuning and reception must be clear to receive a decent signal.

The Heart Chakra - Fourth Chakra

Located at theChest. Inner wisdom and knowledge, sending and receiving love, also the center of the secret of your lifes' work. Here is the place where the ability to transform your life rests. It's color is Green with Pink. Opening of this chakra is essential to the seeker. Through this you meet your "guides" and "teachers". These will help you on your journey.

The Solar Plexus Chakra - Third Chakra

Located at the Navel. The center of movement. Aids in astral projection, objects bending or moving to your will.
It's color is Yellow. The Chakra of intelligence, harmonizing of will and emotions and mental clarity. If unbalanced, your energy can let off destructive forces or it can be
"stolen" from you. It is the first place attacked by people to whom you usually cannot say "no" to.

The Spleen Chakra - Second Chakra

Located three fingers below the navel at the Abdomen. It's color is Orange. This is the bodies connection to the earth. It governs relationships, identity, empathy and social interaction. A blocked chakra can cause a person to be antisocial, have poor sexual relations or dysfunction, and be incapable of expressing and feeling emotions.

The Root Chakra - First Chakra

Located at the Groin. Its color is Red. Chakra maintains our bodies. Center for combining the earthly and universal energies within the body. If this chakra is opened, then you can open all other chakras to their full potential from here. Birth, beginnings, renewal, self-reliance, and safety are attributed here. If blocked, paranoia, overagressiveness, self-destruction and low self-esteem can be attributed. This is the base of all the chakras.

MINOR CHAKRA: Hands and Feet
The four points of the Minor Chakras

The Hands Chakra
Learn More on this Page

Located precisely at the center point between the thumb and index fingers. These are the seats of creative energy. They are the mechanical means of energy, brought in whenever we make or do something and also as a center for the outlet of many types of healing techniques. A numbing of or a feeling of cold hands could indicate a blocking of your inner and outward creative energies.

The Feet Chakra

Located at the center of the top inset or arch of the foot. Helps to maintain our connections to the Earth's energy and provides maintenence of the earthly and cosmic energy which are pulled in by the seventh or Root Chakra. A vague, "spaced-out" sense or cold feet could indicate a closed feet chakra.

As you go along, you will learn much about many things, including meditation. Below are simply some simple ideas and suggestions that I'd like for you to keep in mind as we go along. Activating the chakra through breathing, visualization, meditation, and yoga (most of which you will learn) is good for balancing as a whole. There are a few points that I would like to add before I finish here though, because I believe them to be important. One is that when working with the chakras always progress down the front of the body, and up the back. This is the natural course of ch'i energy in the human body. It flows down the front of your body and up the back, so naturally you want to work in that direction. Please remember this as you read each section.

And another is a technique that I adhere to myself. You might find it useful. Besides the healing by light energy, you might care to try hands on as you go. Here's an example, plus you can read in on The Hands Chakra for more of an explanation. This is an important section if you do indeed decide to try hands on healing on yourself as well as others.

Focus on the chakra in question, massage the area of the body it pertains to, and visualize your self breathing into it. If it is on yourself, send your own breath to this area. Let the energy flow through it, and ask yourself what needs to be done about the particular problem that you are having. Meditate on the problem and possible answers before proceding. Then you can turn to the other method of using a healing light but continue using your hands as well.

With regular practice of the meditation techniques that I have posted on other pages, you can modify these techniques to "open" and "close" each chakra yourself -- quickly and automatically. Normally, each chakra runs on a sort of "auto pilot". Like breathing, in and out, in and out, the chakras are regulating the flow of energies into and out of your psychic system. By modification of the meditation techniques, you can learn to open and close these centers when needed. For example, in the Solar Plexus description above, the entry or the gate for releasing energy can be shut down if someone is asking for something you'd really rather not do or you wish to help someone who is angry but do not wish to absorb those negative energies, you can "shut down" that center and be able to help objectively, yet not take in the negative vibrations yourself. Or you will be able to say you'd rather not do something or can't and not allow the generally resulting "guilt" feelings to invade and bury itself inside, only to have to be worked through once more and cleansed all over again.
