Do as you normally do before meditation and get comfortable. Then do your breathing techniques. Now slow your breathing down and imagine yourself walking down a woodland path. There are all sorts of animals along the way: deer, squirrel, rabbit and other wildlife scampering away into the underbrush. You can hear the birds singing. As you walk along, the path becomes progressively steeper. You decide to climba hill, but the uphill walk does not tire you. As you come to the crest of the hill, you see the opening to a cave in the side of a mountain, only a few feet away. Your totem animal, or an animal you identify with, should be waiting there for you. It may accompany you into the cave, if you wish. You have but to indicate your desire. After deciding whether or not your friend will go with you, proceed to step into the cave. At first, the walls are black or grey. Then you see something sparkling and shining off to your left. It is breathtaking and so you glance around you. Looking off to the right, you see more sparkle and light. You look harder and find that the walls are covered with garnets, giving off a scarlet glow. Now walk through the hall of garnets, absorbing the warmth of their light within you. Slowly, the garnets bcome carnelian, glowing softly orange. Keep on walking. Walk through the carnelians, absorbing their orange glow. Take this glow inside you deeply. Slowly, the carnelian becomes topaz, shining with a cheery yellow. Walk through the topaz hall, absorbing the cheering yellow light. The topaz will then become emerald. Walk through the emeralds, feeling the energy radiating from them. Absorbing this healing light. The emeralds will now become turquoise. Walk through the turquoise, absorbing its light. The turquoise becomes walls and walls of sapphires. Walk through these sapphires, absorbing their light one by one by one. The sapphires will finally become amethyst. Walk through the amethyst glow of violet, and feel it completely surround you, as you absorb its light. Stand here for awhile feeling the magick of a stress-free, peaceful existence. Release any pentup negative energy and breathe in the amethyst light instead. Take a few more slow inhalations and exhalations, then head out of the cave. This meditation is over. If you feel the need for grounding, do it now. |
