Welcome to my sanctuary. All opinions are welcomed as long as you agree with me.

For those of you that don't know me, you probably have ascertained by now that my name, at least, is Debi. I wanted to take a moment to tell you what I think and believe about the many Alternative Healing Methods abound today on the internet and in bookstores. Number one: I may list some of them here that I have neither tried nor plan on trying, because like most people, I do my own thing, and some of these just don't coincide with who I am or what I believe at present.

I can't tell you that the "Hands over Body" methodology works, but then I haven't tried that particular method, although I know people who have. I prefer, if not conventional medicine, which by the way, does not work on several problems I have myself, then methods that use actual "touch", meditation to a degree, and some herbal preparations as well. Not everything works on everybody. I am one of the biggest testimonials to that.

Most people could take hypertensive medicines and go along just fine and dandy, but not me. They don't touch my High Blood Pressure problem worth beans. (heh...you guys that know me better probably know I've cleaned up the language a bit for this website. Don't count on it permanently.)

I have to use alternate methods to bring it down even a little. I learned this early on, since the doctors were all stumped. I have had this problem since my twenties (yeah, I know---too young. Tell my body that.) So to relax, I use the methods described under the meditations in the Chakra section. In fact, that's why I learned it in the first place. It teaches you to get your mind in perspective by getting it off "other" things of a negative nature. This will bring my pressure down for a bit, (I've learned to control my heart rate.) but so far, nothing has worked as a cureall, and I doubt it will. I will just have to continue with relaxation techniques. Yoga helps, if I don't get too lazy to do it daily.

Heh...that seems to be a problem for most of us, having...no, taking the time to exercise these days, and I'm no different. I usually dance as exercise...daily and incorporate some of the yoga techniques as warm ups or cooling down sessions. And until some stressful situation arises, this works. After that, I haven't found much that will touch it.

From my experience, Yoga seems to help many. You may be looking for treatment for some existing conditon, so don't let my problems discourage you. That was not my intention. Most people receive excellent results from a healing, depending on its nature, even if it's only because that person's ailment/illness is a result of day to day stress.

I, personally, use self-hypnosis as a stress reliever. I approve completely the meditations and visualizations used to aid "stressful" ailments or to aid those illnesses that have stress factors, but I can not, nor will I condone this as "sole" treatment for diseases of a more pronounced nature, such as diabetes, cancer, hypertension, whatever....Sure, these alternates may help as most of these contain stress, BUT don't take your life or anyone else's in your own hands and risk it. No one is infalliable. And I refuse to lie to anyone and present this section as a Miraculous Cure. IT IS NOT!!

See your doctors first. Then pursue whatever YOU can do to help your own situations. That is my advice. Take it or leave it. But I will not take credit for any stupidity on anyone's part, concerning use of fluke cures or methods. If I don't know, then I will say just that, so if you need to ask, then "ask"!

If you haven't read it, you will: KNOW what, when, why, where. KNOW!! Don't guess and don't chance it. And use your heads, your brains. STUDY what you don't know. Be SURE of what you're doing. And that's my advice. You take it from here.

Three things from which never to be moved:
One's Oaths, One's Gods, and the Truth.

The three highest causes of the true human are:
Truth, Honor, and Duty.

Three candles that illuminate every darkness:
Truth, Nature, and Knowledge.
