Colors Visualization & Meditations

Meditation

To use color to heal, you must also use Visualization. To begin try one of the simpler methods below.

A simple breathing exercise can be used in self healing by "breathing in" the chosen color to the count of four. Hold it for a count of four, and then exhale to a count of four. You should attempt to do this daily if possible, visualizing the color for each chakra and uniting them together with a column of "white light". This will secure a balance of color throughout both the physical and spiritual bodies.

My personal favorite is to decorate things around you so that you can actually "see" the color your chakra needs. Then take some quiet time each day just to sit and reflect or meditate, while being surrounded by these colors. Now I know you can't redecorate every day if there's a need but a new color blanket, couch cover, your clothing even, or webpage if you spend a lot of time online. Anything that you can concentrate on daily.

You can also use this technique and light up the affected body part with the desired color for 15-30 minutes once or twice a day, depending on the severity of the condition. To do this you can use colored light bulbs or colored cloth to cover the opening of a lamp, but be careful of allowing it to overheat, and make sure you are always in the room when doing this one.

Another method is to use water. Water can be charged with color by exposing it to colored light for about 24 hours or by putting it in a colored bottle and letting it sit in sunlight for a day or two. It is then used to make coffee or tea. You can also add coloring to it, food coloring, and use it as a focal point during the visualization.

When white light is diffracted through a prism, it separates into seven hues; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Each of these colors corresponds to one of the seven chakras and is used for psychic, as well as physical healing. Their correspondences are below.

Red - Corresponds to the base of the spine or "root chakra" and the planet Mars. The color is invigorating and energizing but the intensity is such that it shouldn't be used for long while in a weakened state. Red is beneficial for treatment of arthritis, anemia, paralysis, and sinus conditions. Overabundance of this color in the aura may result in anger, irritation, greed or violence.

Orange - Corresponds to the spleen chakra and is ruled by Mercury. It is used to treat coughs, cramps, gallstones and asthma, lungs, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, stimulates feelings of well being and enlivens the emotions. It's negative side is extravagant and often thieving.

Yellow - This color corresponds to the solar plexus and is ruled by the Sun. It activates motor nerves, muscles, and is used in treating skin conditions, dyspepsia and obesity. Yellow is a valuable anti-depressant, and also said to lessen calcium deposits. It has been found to stimulate the learning process. Too much of this color is said to cause conceit and vociferousness.

Green -This color corresponds to the heart chakra and the planet Venus. It is symbolic of harmony and balance, and is considered a tonic for the heart and blood. It relieves tension; a condition that is activated by an overabundance of it's opposite color, red (Mars). It's tranquilizing effects are also helpful with high blood pressure, ulcers, and anxiety, hay fever, blood clots, and varicose veins. Too much may result in inflexibility, self-indulgence and apathetic behavior.

Blue - Corresponds to the throat chakra and the planet Jupiter. It is said to be cold, astringent and antiseptic. It, as well as green is useed to treat 'red' conditions such as inflammation, throat conditions, goiter, fevers, cuts, burns, colic, infections and the effects of poison. Not recommended for colds, rheumatism, or paralysis. Too much blue results in mistrust, dullness, lethargy and depression.

Indigo - Corresponds to the pituitary or third eye chakra and the planet Saturn. It's effects are similar to those of blue but much more intense. It stimulates the parathyroid glands but depresses the thyroid. It is valuable in clearing up congested conditions in the eyes, ears, nose, lungs, and stomach. It reduces bleeding, inflammation, violence, & excitability. It's negative aspects results in intolerance, disassociation, and illusions.

Violet - Corresponds to the chakra at the top of the head; the crown chakra, and is ruled by the Moon (The Goddess). It is not for the undeveloped mind due to the subtlety of it's vibrations, and is well suited to the temperments of artists, musicians, writers, and creative people. It purifies the blood and alleviates tumors, regulates potassium balance in the system and is considered antiseptic for psychosomatic disorders. The negative results in arrogance or treachery.

Color Visualization II

Another method of using color visualization is to visualize the chosen color rising up over the sick person. In this case, I would choose blue because it is said to be a healing color. Now see the blue light going from the patient's head to the feet very slowly. See it go from the top to the bottom and back again, giving off a soft, warm light full of light and energy. Watch the color and see it fill yourself or your patient with soothing, healing energy. Envision it washing away the illness bit by bit. Keep this energy focused until you feel ready and must stop. Then take a deep breathe and let it out again. Rise now and clean up after yourself.

Note: For another example: If you are trying another kind of spell, you can envision the color, say green, drawing money towards you, from a favored source (be specific. You don't want anyone to die so that you can gain money.

        Blessed be!
