OCEAN WAVES
Today I
watched the ocean waves
As they
lapped gently at the shore
Each ripple
that they created
Was followed
by just one more...
These endless
little ripples
Made no
impact on the sand
Just the
quiet whisper of water
As it
gently ebbed from the land...
Though
each wave looked to be the same
I knew
that surely could not be
For each
tiny perfect little wave
Was formed
from a different part of the sea...
Those waves
had travelled many miles
To be
finally washing up upon our shore
Today
they were gentle and caressing
Tomorrow
they might crash with a tremendous roar...
For oceans
too have moods
That’s
how Mother Nature intended them to be
They can
be calm, peaceful and serene
Or they
can be that stormy, tumultuous sea...
So now
I look upon the waves with awe
And give
my respect to the oceans and the sea
For I
know that its beauty can quickly turn
And take
what I dearly love from me...
