Garden
Of
Friendship
If your life
was like a flower
How do you
believe that it would be
Would it
be a beautiful rose in full bloom
Moving gently
in the breeze
Would it
be a little wild flower
Growing
wherever the wind had blown it to
Laying along-side
a lonely dusty road
Bringing
pleasure only to a privileged few
Though you
could be that tall straight poppy
Which towers
high above the rest
Its strength,
its grace, its beauty
Defying
gravity at its best
But then
you might be that green ivy
That clings
to everything around
Little tendrils
reaching out so far
From tree
tops to the ground
Or are you
a shade house orchid
Its beauty
rare and bright
Hidden from
the coldness of the world
Gaining
its strength from filtered light
For me,
I believe I am the garden
There is
not one plant I would choose to be
For I would
be a part of all of them
Growing
on land, in desserts and near sea
For then
I will experience
All that
life can throw my way
From the
changing of the seasons
And night,
as it turns into day
So please,
come share my garden of life with me
And allow
love to flourish and grow
For we can
create a beautiful flowering paradise
From the
seeds of friendship, we have helped to sow
