Thoughts of You
 

There is not "just" one moment in a day
When I know I think of you
These thoughts are not reserved for that
For you are in my mind, all day through

You’re with me when I go to sleep each night
You’re with me when I take a shower
You’re with me when I quietly rest
For you hold my heart with your power

This power is the power of love
You reached out and captured my heart
Chains or bonds do not keep me there
Though it’s fate that keeps us apart

At night you are with me in my dreams
My days are filled with thoughts of you
I feel this aching loneliness within my heart
I wonder, do you also feel it too

Do you feel our energies entwine
Do you feel my mind reach out to yours
Do you feel the love that I send to you
From these oh so distant shores

Treasure the love that I send to you
For it closes the miles that keep us apart
Know that it will bring me to where you are
When you hold it deep within your heart

For I pray that one day very soon
You will also hold me there
As your arms hold me so close to you
And your hands gently touch my hair

Then I will know that I am home
As I feel your heart beating next to mine
The distance will be but a memory
As our hearts, spirits and bodies, entwine.
