To the men, women
and children whose lives are lost by war
Those
Haunting Wails of War
There
is so much fighting in this world of ours
Do
we really even know why
Is
it because it’s all we know
To
love, or hate, and then to die
How
do we stop the killing
Of
so many innocent lives
How
do we bring peace to the world
Bring
husbands home, to their wives
For
there are so many out there fighting
Men,
women, children, out there alone
Wondering
if they will ever get to see
Their
loved ones and their home
So
many scared and innocent people
Dying
or living in great pain
Children,
old folk and babies
Their
lives never again to be the same
What
of the young ones
Who
know of nothing but fighting now
How
do we teach them to love all others
Even
those that are different somehow
For
all around this world of ours
People
are different, yet still the same
For
our blood is still red and flowing
All
of us still feel the same great pain
But
wives will lose husbands
And
they may lose their children too
War
can take them from all of us
So
it’s now up to me and to you
Up
to us to spread the word of "PEACE"
And
all that it entails
For
while the world is still at war
The
air will be filled with those haunting wails.
