A Pilgrimage Into History
http://www.geocities.com/EnchantedForest/Mountain/9112/Pilgrimage.html

Tells about the only rain forest in the continental United States. This quest has several different activities, so each time can be a new experience.
This quest asks great, thought provoking questions. It asks them to compare/contrast the early settlements of Jamestown and Plymouth.
Scavenger Hunts:

Martin Luther King, Jr.

This scavenger hunt links the page to many poetry sites that are great fun for younger students. It gives them an introduction to poetry and keeps it fun at the same time.
Collaborative Projects:
EnviroNet -Acid Rain
http://earth.simmons.edu/acidrain/acidrain.html

Dinosaurs Alive!
http://www.onlinclass.com/Dinosaurs/default.htm

Allows students to monitor acid rain with a group of students from other schools and areas. They collect, monitor, and measure acid rain while learning about geographic features from maps and graphs.
This site allows k-12 classes to adopt a dinosaur and study it. It also has them learn about preservation, digging, and displaying their finds. It is a nice project.

Virtual Frog Dissection Kit

Human Anatomy Online
http://www.innerbody.com/htm/body.html

This has a partnership with NASA, so I feel it shopuld be a great simulation. The purpose of this project is to allow students to explore planets, stars and moons through a variety of planned activities and report their findings. The students are given questions to ponder as they do the simulation.
The virtual frog is a great tool for biology classes. It allows students to see inside a frog at various angles and do the dissection without the mees and smell.
The human anatomy online project is great for students who are interested in anatomy. Those who do not have access to a cadavor can dissect the human body whenever needed.
Lesson Plans:

Ask ERIC
http://www.askeric.org/Virtual/Lessons/

The lesson plans page is filled with lesson plans for all ages and grades. I think it is a wonderful site that all teachers ot student teachers should have bookmarked for future use.
Ask ERIC is another favorite site for teachers or student teachers seeking lesson plans. They have a large variety of plans for all areas and grade levels.
