Here is a letter that I got promision from Nadja who signed our message board. She is letting me put this up...Thank you Nadja
Why: Because Doyle is an important character on "Angel". He is the only new comer and there is a lot of mystery around him. The story lines with Doyle is practically endless. There is so much that we still don’t know about him. We know noting about his part, who he really is or what is means to be the kind of demon that he is. Doyle brings light, love and laugher into the show. That is important when one considers that "Angel" is a dark show. The charisma between him and Cordy are just so good and sweet. What more is that his story seams unfinished, like reading a book and suddenly discover that someone has thrown away the last 50 pages. How: I have heard some people say that after Doyle died the way he did he can not come back. Now come on, people. This is fantasy. Nothing is real on this show. Of course he can come back. I mean Angel came back after being stabbed though the heart and spending 100ths of years in Hell with almost no side effects so of course can Doyle do the same. Just remember that by now almost every cast member on a show dies at least ones. On BTVS Buffy has died and come back and Angel must by now have died about 5 times and he is still walking the Earth. On other shows ,like "7 days", the cast members die practically ones a week. There are many ways to bring Doyle back: Doyle`s kind of demons has the ability to survive death by those wire’s, Cordy makes a wish to a demon ( think a kind Anya) and Doyle comes back, "the powers that be" brings him back, Cordy accidentally opens a gateway to a parallel world where Doyle is alive but Cordy is dead and when she leaves that world Doyle comes with her to our world, Cordy do not only have Doyle´s powers but his soul as well so with a spell ( maybe helped by Willow) she brings him back, Doyle is reborn in a small demon boy who grows unnaturally fast to adulthood and he can remember all what happened to him..... And so on. This is just some of the suggestions that I have heard on how Doyle can come back but I am sure that the writers of "Angel" can come up with something even better. So you see it is very possible to bring him back. Why not: Wesley ( or what ever that guy’s name is). First of all because he is a Watcher and therefor have nothing to do with Angel as he is no Slayer, second of all he hates Angel so putting them together sounds very not practical and last but not least I have never meet anyone who liked the guy so it sounds stupid to bring him back when everyone was so happy to be rid of him on BTVS. On Cordy with powers: It sounds interesting. And Doyle does not have to loose his powers just because Cordy have some. It will be very fascinating to see how Cordy deals with this gift. And to be honest it is also about time that she is aloud to do something useful for a change. What to do: This is where the real problem comes in. Now I will recommend to write letters and make sure that everyone knows how we feel about Doyle leaving. Some have suggested a boycott of "Angel"- I don’t think that it is the way to go around this. Why punish the rest of the cast on "Angel" for something that a producer have done? That will not be fair. Besides it will, as I said, be very interesting to see Cordy with her new gifts. I am really looking forward to seeing the next episodes with her and how she deals with it. Doyle was a well loved character and I pray that you will soon realise that killing him was a mistake. I hope that you will soon have the good news to me that Doyle is coming back.
