Don’t Worry! Be Happy!

“Therefore do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear?” (Matthew 6:31)

God Almighty is absolutely against worry. Worry puts us on the throne of our lives instead of Him. Jesus and Paul preached against it. The whole Bible is against worry because it was designed by Satan to produce fear, stress, strain, and death.
Too many of us, however, still act as if worry is our constitutional right, as if it’s our pity party and we can worry if we want to. But worrying is a sin for it is one of the prohibitions the Word of God directly commands us NOT to do.

What are we supposed to do then with all our problems? In 1 Peter 5:7, God says we are to “cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us.” Not 90% or 99% but ALL of them! Our confession every morning should be, “Lord, I do not have a care in this world because I’ve cast ALL of them onto Your lap. I am now care free, problem free, trouble free, debt free, fat free and sugar free.”

When I go out to dinner or the Sports Club LA, I just leave the car in front with the valet and enjoy the evening. That’s what you need to do with all of your worries. You need to turn them over to God and just relax. If Satan brings a worried thought to your mind like “What if this, that and the other happens?” you can tell him to go to hell for it is in good hands. It’s in God’s hands, not yours! God does not charge a premium and I would rather have it in God’s mighty hands than Allstate.

Once you do that, miraculous changes will start to happen in your life. Problems you’ve been facing will start dissolving. You’ll no longer be tying God’s hands with your worrying. His magnificent power can begin to operate freely in your life because you’ve acted in faith in accordance with His Word and cast ALL your cares upon Him!

God gave you a choice as a free moral agent and will not take your cares away from you, however. You have to purposely give them to Him. Then you have to replace those carnal worries when they rear their ugly heads with the powerful burden-removing, yoke-destroying Word of God. You are the only one who can keep your thoughts under control, bringing it under subjection to the Word because you know the Word of God
so well. But don’t worry, you can do it for the Anointed One dwells within you to teach you in all things. The Holy Spirit is able to put you over. Commit to it and you'll never have to worry again. What? Me worry?
