The Scorpion King

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)

Did you know that you as believer in the Word of God have the power to trample on serpents and scorpions? According to the Word of God, you have been given that power by Jesus in the gospel of Luke. Serpents and scorpions represent demonic spirits that the devil is using to keep you in fear, in lack, in debt, in sickness and under oppression. And not only do you have authority over them and their poisonous venoms and stings in the mighty Name of Jesus, the Name that is ABOVE every name, you also have complete authority over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing, and when God says nothing He means absolutely nothing, can ever hurt you.

Revelation 1:6 says you have been made king and priest in God’s kingdom by Jesus, the King of kings. This when combined with Luke 10:19 make you The Scorpion King. You are the real Blockbuster with God-given power over the scorpions, not some wrestler named The Rock. One of God’s many Hebrew names is El Sela, meaning God is The Rock (Psalm 42:9). God, not Alcatraz or Gibraltar, is The Rock, the Rock of Ages. As God’s dear children, we can use The Rock to crush the scorpions of poverty, disease, depression and defeat in our lives and live victoriously as more than conquerors over our temporary circumstances.
