Spider Man

“There are four things which are little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise...The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, and it is kings’ palaces.” (Proverbs 30:24 and 28)

The box office success of Spider Man over the weekend with a record 3 day gross of $114 million can only attest to the wisdom of the spider as mentioned in the Word of God. Apart from being wise and skillful, the spider also occupy the kings’ palaces, meaning a position of royal authority and prominence. So if we want to be successful like Spider Man, we need to get wisdom, and wisdom can only be found by studying the Word of God. Then we are to skillfully use that wisdom by speaking the Word to our circumstances and command them to line up with the promises in the Word of God, calling those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17).

Once we know how to use wisdom skillfully, it will be no accident that we will occupy the king’s palaces for we are created to be kings and priests (not the Catholic ones) in the kingdom of God. After much trials and tribulations, we are to move from the prison of our circumstances to the palace like Joseph did in the Book of Genesis. We must, however, wait for God’s timing as promotion can only come from Him, and no one else. Then once we move to the palace, we can be laughing like Tobey Maguire all the way to the bank, with even the likes of Jerry Maguire asking Tobey to Show Me The Money. With the wisdom from the Word of God, we all can be like Spider Man, the Ultimate Webmaster, the Ruler of Spin City, the king of the World Wide Web.
