That Thing You DoBut be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22) Have you ever been in a position where every time you opened the Bible you received a healthy dose of revelation? Does it seem lately that the well of revelation has run dry? If so, may I suggest that you backtrack to the last revelation God gave you and see if you acted on it, if you did what God asked you to do. If you didn’t, start again, digging into that revelation and then putting it into action in your life. You’ll soon find new revelations will start to flow again. Revelation is most abundant when you are acting on the Word. I’ve discovered that for myself time and again. The more I act on the Word, the more I see deep things in it with my spiritual eye. That’s why James tells us to not hear God’s Word only but to DO IT! It may seem that the things God has revealed to you are insignificant. They may not even make sense to your natural mind like why should you give when you are broke, why should you forgive that person who abused you, why should you tithe and give offerings, or why am I sending these emails to you daily. Don’t question God, be like Nike and Just Do It! Forget about Tom Hanks or The Wonders for That Thing You Do should be to open God’s Word anew or at least spend some time meditating on the God-inspired messages of these emails. Come before God expecting a fresh revelation of the Scriptures each time and commit to faithful obedience to His Word. Be a DOER of God’s Word and not a hearer only and your River of revelation will Run Through It. Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries. All rights reserved. Subscribe/Unsubscribe:
