Enough“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ [the Anointed One and His Anointing] may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) When you run into a Mission Impossible that even Tom Cruise can’t help you, are you tempted to just give up and accept defeat? Don’t give up but instead shout, "Glory to God!" because the Word says God’s strength is about to be made perfect in you. The Greek word translated strength is dunamis. It is the root of dynamite and it means God’s miracle working power. When your strength ends, God has promised in His Word that His miraculous power, not Michael Douglas, will bring you Shining Through. In Acts 14, the apostle Paul was stoned by a group of Jews, taken out of the city and left for dead. Paul’s human strength had ended and he was powerless like Steven Seagal in Hard To Kill. But the disciples gathered around him and prayed, and God raised him up and he went on his way. When Paul didn’t have enough strength to overcome, God’s dunamis power was sufficient, or Enough, for him. It enabled Paul to boast in his infirmities so that the burden-removing, yoke-destroying anointing of God may rest upon him to make him an overcomer in spite of his human weakness, and Paul did it all without J. Lo. So, if you are facing a crisis today, if you’re sick and your HMO has failed you, if your finances are a mess, if your marriage is drifting apart like Jennifer Lopez’s, if bad habits or addictions have you hopelessly bound, if you’ve done Every Which Way You Can with Clint Eastwood and still haven’t gotten results, then rejoice for when your strength ends, the mighty power of God shows up.
