Lean On Me

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Once you start living by faith in the Word of God and walking in the Spirit, the devil will see to it that you have plenty of opportunity to fail. He’ll try to get you in a pickle with Kevin Costner where there appears to be No Way Out. But if you’ll look to God, Lean on Him and trust His wisdom instead of your own, He’ll always show you a way of escape as He has done for me many times. Not only that, but God will engineer your Reversal of Fortune without Jeremy Irons and do it in such a way that He’ll get all the glory and you’ll have the last laugh, and then some.

So the next time the devil tries to back you into a corner with bills up to your eyeballs, tax liens, sickness or a marriage breakdown, don’t head for the Panic Room with Jody Foster. Search the Word, trust God with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge Him in all your ways and ask God to direct your paths to show you the way out without any Exit Wounds. As you learn to Lean On Him instead of Morgan Freeman or the Carnal Knowledge of Jack Nicholson, God will No Doubt bring you out in victory every single time.
