Back to School“Be diligent [in studying] to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15) Real faith, the kind of faith that moves mountains, involves real action. James 2:20 says faith without works is dead. If you want the kind of faith that will heal your body, restore finances, get you out of debt, preserve your family, and keep you on your feet when others are Falling Down like Michael Douglas, then you need to take some real action where the Word is concerned. First, you need to go Back To School and study, and you can rightly divide the Word of truth in many ways. You can read it and dig deeply with concordances like Strong’s, Hebrew and Greek dictionaries like Vine’s and other reference books. You can also listen to teaching tapes or watch your favorite sermons on TV. The second thing is go where the Word is being preached for Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of God preached. Third, you need to start confessing the Word daily that you’ve heard. Find the promise of God that covers your situation and then declare it out loud as if it had already come to pass in your life. Get real and get serious about the Word of God. Study it, go hear it preached, and confess it. If Rodney Dangerfield can go Back To School, so can you.
