The Right StuffNow this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we asked of Him. (1 John 5:14-15) Have you ever prayed and suddenly had the feeling that may be God isn’t listening? The truth is, God only listen to prayers that are prayed according to His will, which is based on His Word. When you learn to pray like that, you know you’ll have the petitions you asked of Him. How then do you compose a petition with The Right Stuff, the one that’s in line with the will of God? First, you have to dig deeply into the Word of God. Beside these daily emails, you should find scriptures that apply to your situation and make those the foundation of your petition. Then get on your knees, consult with the Holy Spirit and let Him develop your petition in detail. Get filled with the Spirit and pray in other tongues. (Romans 8:26-27.) Expect God to reveal the deep things from His heart to yours for He wants you to know His will intimately. So, while you’re praying in tongues or otherwise, listen! Last but not least, put in in writing to close the deal. Make a formal written request by writing every scripture you found in the Bible that pertains to your situation. And, as you’re listening to the Holy Spirit, write down any impression or idea He gives you. Take time to know God, to seek His face, to know His Word so that you’ll get The Right Stuff. Be married to Him and know Him intimately, don’t just date Him for we are the Bride of Christ. Be a God chaser, not a money chaser or a woman chaser, and the blessings of God will chase you down. Let the Spirit of God develop your prayer, not Chuck Yeager, NASA or a bunch of astronauts. Let the truth He reveals to you from His Word marinade and begin to work in you so that God will say You’ve Got The Right One, Baby! Get your petition firmly in mind, write it down, and when you’re ready, present it to God and consider it done. Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries. All rights reserved. Subscribe/Unsubscribe:
