Mr Deeds“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1) That Greek word translated into English as substance is hupostasis, a word whose precise meaning wasn’t understood until recently when British archaeologists uncovered the ruins of an old inn in Palestine. They found a small iron chest containing the valuable papers of a Roman noblewoman who had been staying at the inn when it burned. She had apparently been checking up on her various land holdings, because in that chest they found most of the papers labeled with a big title “hupostasis”. They were the title deeds to her properties in the Palestine province of the Roman Empire. “Now faith is the title deed of things hoped for” is a more exact translation of this well-known verse in Hebrews. If you’ve got faith, even though you haven’t seen the answer in the natural realm yet, you already have the title deed to it and you already own it. You don’t need Adam Sandler, Gary Cooper, Longfellow Deeds or Frank Capra for it is yours! Your are Mr Deeds [or Mrs/Ms Deeds] and if you’ve got faith to see your name written on it, you will see your healing, deliverance, prosperity, restoration or whatever you hoped for eventually. The title deed, the grant deed, the warranty deed, the pink slip, the certificate of title or whatever you call it, is already in your hands and you don’t need Publishers Clearinghouse because you are already a winner in Jesus Name.
