Independence Day“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). Today is July 4th, Independence Day, the day where we are celebrating our freedom and liberty in America. After the 911 tragedy, we are reminded of the price of freedom that was paid by human blood and what it means to be free. We can live in America or any other free nation and go to church or temple, however, and still not be free in our spirit. On the other hand, we can live an oppressive country like Iraq, under a slimy scumbag like Saddam that no Men In Black can get rid off, and still have freedom in our spirit if we have Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. The freedom that God gives is the only true and lasting freedom there is. You can be free today in your spirit. If you have never received Jesus into your life, may I invite you to do so today. There’s no better time than on Independence Day to declare your independence from sin and death, from the devil and his demons, from the oppression, terror, sickness, poverty and every other evil so you can be truly free! Will Smith and Bill Pullman cannot help you to achieve your Independence Day. Only the precious Blood of Jesus can set you free from tyranny of the world, the flesh and the devil and give you true Blood-bought independence. Will you pray out loud with me right now? “Heavenly Father, I declare my independence and ask You to set me free in my spirit. I receive what Jesus did on the Cross, giving up His life and taking on my sins so that I will have eternal life. Please forgive ALL my sins and fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to live A Life Less Ordinary, a life that is pleasing to You.
