Terms of EndearmentBut I will establish My covenant with you, and you shall go into the ark you, your sons, your wife and your sons’ wives with you. (Genesis 6:18) Long before Ben Kingsley and Natasha Hensridge, God made a covenant with Noah to preserve the Species and long before Dick Van Patten, God decreed that Eight Is Enough. Before Noah can even finish his bagel, God gave him specific plans with more details than the Titanic to build the ark. Noah did not ask Jack London or Dr Dolittle to gather the animals as God led them into the ark with The Call Of The Wild. God then issued all the boarding passes and even closed the door when all the couples arrived. God The Rainmaker then flooded the earth with more water than Kevin Costner’s Waterworld to float the ark. Noah’s covenant provided all he needed to complete his Mission Impossible. When God called Noah, he needed only to accept the mission. Noah could forget about Tom Cruise and rest in knowing the covenant made with God the faithful was going to be fulfilled if he fulfilled his part, and that he will end up somewhere over the rainbow. The Bible is a book of covenants between God and man. A covenant with God is a contract with more Terms of Endearment than Jack Nicholson, Debra Winger and Shirley MacLaine can act on. God made six covenants with Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and David. The seventh and the most powerful was made with His own Son, Jesus Christ. God is always the strongest and richest partner in a covenant relationship. If you have entered into a covenant relationship with God, you too can be assured that God will uphold His part of the covenant. God loves you and He is committed to fulfilling His covenant and fulfill His purposes in and through your life. God only requires one thing obedience to His Word. God is so good, He will even provide grace, faith and the comforting ministry of the Holy Spirit to help you fulfill your part. Not only does each of us have a covenant with God, we also have covenants with others in our lives. Ask God if you have any unfulfilled covenants you need to honor for He has called each of us to be Promise Keepers. Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries. All rights reserved. Subscribe/Unsubscribe:
