The Rising

"You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come." (Psalm 102:13)

All of us have gone through hurts, pains, failures, disappointments and setbacks. But when bad things happen, we must realize that God, not Bruce Springsteen, is The Boss and there are things we can do to overcome disappointment and begin The Rising to the top again. First, we need to ask God for help, not the E Street Band. We must turn to God and search His Word, not away from Him. We need to dig deeply into the Bible, because restoration, wholeness, deliverance and healing is in God's Word. Secondly, we need to get drunk with the Spirit of God. We do that by eating His Word until we are filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit. A little dab of God won't do you! Drink of Him day and night and eat the Breakfast of Champions until we dwell in the secret place of El Elyon the Most High. Let God arise and have mercy on us, let Him favor us, cheer us
and Bring It On with His glory.

And last, but not least, we need to get over ourselves and we can't do that without divine intervention, because we are SELF-centered. No matter what happens, our first thought is, "How will this affect ME? What do others think about ME?" We'll never experience joy as long as we're focused on ourselves or on the negative things happening around us. We need to say, "Heavenly Father, whatever is happening now is bigger than me, but I trust You to arise and bring me through. I trust that the set time, the appointed time to favor me has come and I thank you for Your mercy and goodness. Amen" The way to be The Comeback Kid, to come back from any setback is to stop looking through the eyes of discouragement and disappointment, and look up to God in heaven. God has all the answers, and they are written in His Word. In this post-911 world, we are guaranteeed
The Rising and things will be looking up if keep our eyes focused on God and His Word.
