"Jesus said to her [Mary], 'Do not cling to Me, for I have not ascended to My Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.' " (John 20:17)

Prior to His resurrection, Jesus never called His disciples brothers. The most intimate term He used before that time was Friends. But after His resurrection, His cast of Friends have moved from NBC to HBO to become His Band of Brothers. Through His death and resurrection, His disciples have been regenerated with the abundant, eternal God kind of life released by His life giving death. 1 Peter 1:3 says that we were regenerated through
Christ's resurrection into a living hope. It was through His resurrection that Jesus imparted Himself as the Holy Spirit into all His disciples, and all of us. By receiving His life, they were all reborn, regenerated, and became His brothers and children and heirs of God with Jesus as the Elder Brother and Joint Heir.

By the power of the resurrection, not the producing skills of Tom Hanks or Steven Spielberg, we have became the Band of Brothers of Jesus because we now have the same God kind of life that He does. Jesus regenerated the disciples by His resurrection, and they were no longer disciples and Friends but also His fellow brothers and joint heirs. Before His death, Jesus was Simply Incorruptible, the one and only Seed from heaven. But after His death, burial and resurrection that Seed on the Third Day produced a harvest of many seeds and brought salvation to the whole world. The only Son of God had produced countless sons and daughters of men into the hope of glory. This is the multiplication of life through the sowing of a precious incorruptible Seed, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To all the lost out there, Jesus is sitting in heaven saying, " O
Brother, Where Art Thou ?" and it is our job as His brothers to help proclaim or finance the gospel of salvation so more brothers like George Clooney can come into the Kingdom for such a time as this.
