"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings, and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

While Bush, Cheney and the military-industrial complex are beating the war drums for an unprovoked attack against Iraq without any declaration of war by Congress, it's high time we realize that if we obey the Bible and fervently pray for our country, there's no Council of Foreign Relations, no king, no president, no Congress, no Gestapo-like Homeland Security Office, no anything that could overthrow God's purpose for His people. God
has called us to intercede, and He has commanded us to pray for those in authority. God has given us His Word, His power, His Name, His authority, His Holy Spirit and the Blood of Jesus. We have all the tools necessary to pray effectively for our nation and its leaders, and if necessary, bind all evil spirits in government and remove the usurpers of power from office through angelic intervention.

It is a tragedy that in these tumultuous days when our nation is so backslidden and needs divine guidance, so few of us take the time to intercede for the welfare of America. It is our responsibility as believers to get involved in the affairs of our country. Many of us fail
to pray because we don't realize just how powerful our prayers can affect this country. Yes, our prayers can cancel debts, introduce gold-backed currencies, remove the IRS and reform the legal and banking system. Our prayers can restore the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and keep Bush away from the nation's capital and prevent him from killing human lives to profit oil companies and arms merchants. Michael Douglas may have played The American President, but God shows up in the burning Bush and wants to repossess America from the axis of evil controlled by a cabal of shadowy globalist bankers, and He can only do it through His army of onward Christian soldiers, you and me.
